In occasione della fiera internazionale ARTSHOPPING che si terrà a Parigi presso Le Carrousel Du Louvre dal 20 al 22 Ottobre 2023, conosciamo meglio gli artisti espositori selezionati per questo evento dallo storico e critico d'arte Francesca Callipari.
Oggi siamo lieti di presentarvi l'artista DOREEN LUCIA KURTZ.
1) BENTORNATA AD ILOVEITALY NEWS, SIAMO MOLTO FELICI DI OSPITARTI IN QUESTO SPAZIO… QUALI EMOZIONI STAI PROVANDO IN VISTA DI QUESTO PRESTIGIOSO EVENTO PRESSO LE CARROUSEL DU LOUVRE E COSA RAPPRESENTA PER TE?
Quando ho scoperto che avrei avuto l'opportunità di partecipare ad una fiera d'arte a Parigi, ero al settimo cielo. Associo Parigi a un luogo potente che ha attratto e prodotto molti artisti. Avrei esposto in qualunque casa con grande piacere. Quando ho saputo che la fiera d'arte si svolgeva al Louvre, ero incredibilmente felice. Non ho osato sognare. I migliori dipinti sono esposti al Louvre. Sono grata e piena di umiltà!
2) IN QUESTA OCCASIONE ESPORRAI DUE DIPINTI DI GENERE FIGURATIVO. RACCONTACI COME SONO NATE QUESTE OPERE E COSA VORRESTI TRASMETTERE ATTRAVERSO DI ESSE:
Sono sempre alla ricerca di motivi che abbiano un carisma ed un effetto intensi, che riflettano qualcosa e sembrino stimolanti. Entrambe le figure irradiano un'elevata energia e si radicano a vicenda attraverso il contatto delle mani. Nel dipinto ad olio "Anastasia" si riflette l'intera figura e il riflesso mostra un punto di vista molto diverso: vulnerabile e cauto.
Nel dipinto ad olio Geisha il riflesso è ridotto alla parte energeticamente più intensa: la mano. Il suo sguardo è concentrato ed esperto, il suo corpo pronto a balzare come una tigre. Entrambe le figure indossano abiti bianchi, il che significa chiarezza. La giovane Anastasia dai capelli selvaggi, che prova di tutto, la geisha con ritegno ridotto, eleganza. La vivacità di entrambi i dipinti ad olio sembra riflettersi nell'altro e mostra una dimensione diversa.
3) NEI TUOI FIGURATIVI TI CONCENTRI MOLTO SUGLI SGUARDI E SUL LINGUAGGIO DEL CORPO, RIUSCENDO AD INDAGARE IN PROFONDITA' L'ANIMO UMANO. COME SCEGLI I TUOI SOGGETTI E COME GIUNGI INFINE ALLA DEFINIZIONE DELLE TUE OPERE?
Amo dipingere ritratti e cerco di dipingere tutto nel gesto e nello sguardo finché non sento l'intensità che riunisce tutta la vita in un unico quadro. Cerco di scoprire quale ruolo ha assunto la persona nella vita e di rappresentarlo. Cerco sempre più di mettere a fuoco l'immagine e di offuscare ciò che non è importante, di liberarmi sempre di più dalle prospettive date.

On the occasion of the ARTSHOPPING international fair to be held in Paris at Le Carrousel Du Louvre from 20 to 22 October 2023, we get to know better the exhibiting artists selected for this event by the historian and art critic Francesca Callipari.
Today we are pleased to introduce you to the artist DOREEN LUCIA KURTZ.
1) WELCOME BACK TO ILOVEITALY NEWS, WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO HOSTING YOU IN THIS SPACE… WHAT EMOTIONS ARE YOU FEELING IN VIEW OF THIS PRESTIGIOUS EVENT AT THE CARROUSEL DU LOUVRE AND WHAT DOES IT REPRESENT FOR YOU?
When I found out that I would have the opportunity to participate in an art fair in Paris, I was over the moon. I associate Paris with a powerful place that has attracted and produced many artists. I would have exhibited in any house with great pleasure. When I got the information that the art fair is taking place in the Louvre, I was incredibly happy. I didn't dare to dream. The best of the best paintings hang in the Louvre. I am in gratitude and full of humility.
2) ON THIS OCCASION YOU WILL EXHIBIT TWO FIGURATIVE PAINTINGS. TELL US HOW
THESE WORKS WERE BORN AND WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO TRANSMIT THROUGH THEM:
I'm always looking for motifs that have an intense charisma and effect, that reflect something and look challenging. Both figures radiate high energy and ground each other through contact of the hands. In the oil painting "Anastasia" the whole figure is reflected and the reflection shows a very different point of view: vulnerable and cautious.In the oil painting Geisha, the reflection is reduced to the most energetically intense part: the hand. Her gaze is focused and experienced, her body ready to pounce like a tiger. Both figures wear white clothing, which signifies clarity. The young Anastasia with wild hair, trying everything, the geisha with reduced restraint, elegance. The colourfulness of both oil paintings seems to reflect itself in the other and shows a different dimension.
3) IN YOUR FIGURATIVES YOU FOCUS A LOT ON THE LOOKS AND BODY LANGUAGE, SUCCEEDING IN DEPTH INTO THE HUMAN SOUL. HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOUR SUBJECTS AND HOW DO YOU FINALLY COME TO THE DEFINITION OF YOUR WORKS?
I love painting portraits and I try to paint everything into the gesture and into the gaze until I feel the intensity that brings all of life into one picture. I try to find out what role the person has taken in life and to depict this. I am increasingly trying to sharpen the focus in the picture and to blur the unimportant, to free myself more and more from given perspectives.
4) DREAMS IN THE DRAWER OR NEXT PROJECTS IN PROGRAM?
The next project is in the drawer. My clients saw my exhibition and were enthusiastic about an expressive oil painting by Amy Winehouse and want the "Last Supper" to be expressive and reflect intertextuality. The counterpart in painting is interpicturality. Basically it is the time before my oil painting "The Divine View of the Crucifixion", already in this picture I have detached myself from all previous representations. Now I will think about which perspective gives me the right result. Be curious.
